The Click>Talk>Sell partnership between Aepona and ION Technologies is designed to allow operators to benefit from the cutting edge Telecom Web Services offering from Aepona. The well established business value of direct email marketing can be taken to another level when combined with the capability to close the loop between the merchant and the customer. Aepona’s Telecom Web Services capabilities is the missing link that allows this loop to be closed rapidly and cost effectively for the merchant while generating high value voice traffic for the Network Operator.

The architecture and operation of the solution is described below



1. The campaign is created and delivered in the traditional way, but embedded in the outbound communications is a ‘click-to-talk’ capability

2. When a customer hits the ‘click-to-talk’ button the Subscribe server verifies their phone number. The phone number can be entered by the user, or presented to the user for verification where it is already on file.

3. The Subscribe service then invokes the Click-Talk-Sell application supported by the Aepona Universal Service Platform (USP) which is connected to the operator's network

4. The USP creates a call to the Call Centre that is running the campaign The call is created directly by the Click-Talk-Sell application. The cost for the call is borne by the call centre, no charge is levied on the customer that invoked the ‘click-to-talk’

5. The Aepona Universal Service Platform creates a second call leg back to the customer that invoked the ‘click-to-talk’ capability Both call legs are paid for by the call centre, so the call is free to the Network customer.

6. During and after the campaign, the call centre management has access to real time data on the effectiveness of the campaign, including …
- How many email were sent
- How many emails were opened
- How many call backs were requested
- How many call backs were set up
